You haven't lived until you've experienced the St. Patrick's Day Parade & Festival in Wilmington, NC. This lively and entertainment-rich annual event, which celebrates the life of Ireland's amazing apostle, will be taking place for the 16th straight year on Saturday, March 12, 2016. The parade gets underway at 11:00 a.m. in downtown at North Front Street. It will make its way south to Dock Street and then head north on Water Street. Make plans to arrive in downtown Wilmington early to grab yourself a great spot to view all the terrific parade participants.
As it does every year, the parade travels to Riverfront Park for the festival portion of the day. Beginning at noon, you'll be treated to incredible live music and delightful traditional Irish dancing courtesy of a myriad of top-notch performers. Be prepared to be impressed courtesy of such great acts as The Molly Malones,The Blarney Broughs,Wilmington Police Pipes & Drums,Slainte UNCW Irish Dance Club, and The Walsh Kelley School of Irish Dance.
